WALLINGTON came from behind to defeat Percy Main Amateurs 3-1 in the Northern Alliance Premier Division last night (04/05).
After Anth Brown had given Main the lead, Dan Thompson struck twice for Wallington, either side of a Ben Fenwick free-kick, to keep the team well in contention of a top five finish.
Despite a battling performance at runaway champions Gateshead A, Prudhoe YC Seniors ran out of steam in their Division Two match-up. They ended up losing 6-3 with their goals coming from man of the match Scott Douglas, Lee Blackburn and Ben Dibb-Fuller.
Ponteland United maintained their excellent form in Division One as they returned from Hebburn Reyrolle with a 3-1 victory.
Conor Brumwell hit a hat-trick as Ponteland United Reserves ran riot in the Tyneside Amateur League, thumping Monkseaton A 7-0. Man of the match Darren Parkes, Daniel Troughton, Gary Oliver and Joseph Billham also registered.
Alston Moor Sports Club are one win away from guaranteeing promotion to Division One of the Crook and District League following last night's convincing 5-2 win over Wolsingham. Jamie Ellwood scored three and Nathan Frazer got the other two, while goalkeeper Jason Williams was man of the match.
