GIRL of the game Victoria Lynch took the plaudits as she earned Ponteland United U16 all three points.

She scored all three of United’s goals in the slender 3-2 win over Newcastle East End, putting in a wonderful all round performance.

Four goals from Anna Russell earned Ponteland United Crusaders U12 a comfortable victory over Heaton Hawks Kestrels.

She was in fine form as she guided United to the 6-0 triumph, joined on the scoresheet by Holly Olsen and player of match Olivia Miller. Wylam Rockettes U12 fought back from a goal down to defeat Ponteland United U12 Revolution .

Abi Leiper put Ponteland ahead, but girl of the game Lois Taylor inspired Rockettes as they earned the points courtesy of two goals from Grace Owen, and one each from Lucy Martin and Charlotte Graham.

Captain, and goalkeeper, Shannon Chambers kept the score down as Wylam Rockettes U16 lost to Montagu and North Fenham, a complete contrast to their big win over Hexham U16 in midweek as Sophie Rogers scored three and Lucy Wynne and debutant Emma Rankin one each. Izzy McKenna was voted girl of the game.

Emma Rankin, Abby Brown and girl of the game Ruth Owen struck to see Wylam Rockettes U15 come from behind to defeat Cramlington United 3- 1.

Two second half goals from Katy Cheesman and a star performance from Leah Daniels was in consolation for Wylam Rockettes U13 in their defeat to Blyth Town. In almost a carbon copy, Josie Cawood struck two and goalkeeper Iona Burville was star player for Hexham U13 in their defeat by the same scoreline to West Allotment.

Haltwhistle United U18’s goalkeeper Shauna Henderson was again named girl of the game and Charlotte Murray found the back of the net as the team lost at Longhoughton Rangers.
