A DOMINANT display saw Wylam Rockettes U12 claim a convincing 4-1 victory over Heaton Hawks in Le Championette.

With the rain lashing down to make conditions really tough, they put in a great performance to claim all three points.

Wylam were rewarded for cranking the pressure on by passing the ball really well, taking a three goal lead into the break courtesy of strikes from Molly Pigg, Grace Owen and girl of the game Lucy Martin.

Heaton battled back and pulled a goal back after the break, but a second goal from Lucy killed off any hopes of a Heaton comeback.

Ponteland United Pride U12 recorded an impressive 4-0 win over Bundesliga rivals Morpeth Town.

The goals were shared across the team with Hanna Balding, Freya Guadagno, Bethany Bell and Olivia Brown all finding the net. Helping to preserve the clean sheet, defender Josie Legg was named player of the match.

Amber Mayers put Ponteland United Revolution U12 ahead against Cramlington United, but Pont were unable to keep off United’s strong fight back in the second half as they inflicted a 3-1 defeat on their rivals. In La Liga, Ponteland United Crusaders U12 played out a goalless draw with Newcastle Benfield.
