But, despite defeat in their swansong before moving to Saturday football, Haltwhistle still go out on a high after scooping the treble - their 17th trophy in the space of five seasons.
Phoenix have been Jubilee’s main rivals during their five years of dominance, and put one final boot in at the weekend as they won a contentious League Cup final 3-2.
Man of the match Patrick McAlindon, Tony Lancaster and Kurtis Harvey got the deciding goals, cancelling out strikes from Dan Kirkup and Greg Irwin.
The result meant Haltwhistle weren’t able to repeat their quadruple winning seasons of 2013-2014 and 2014-2015, but they did match last year’s treble ahead of their proposed move to the Tyneside Amateur League.
The league action came to an end too with Jubilee’s town rivals Haltwhistle Railway finishing their Division Two campaign with a 4-1 victory over Rose and Crown Bellingham. Ricky Armstrong scored twice and Jack Mitchell and Michael Telford once each, while Jack Barker was named man of the match for the seventh time this season to take him to the top of the rankings in the division.
