Two goals from Ellie Wright and efforts from girl of the game Eva Straughan, Jess Dancer and a 30 yarder from Megan Boyd saw Hexham U14 to a 5-1 win over Alnwick Town.

Wylam Rockettes U14 played out a goalless draw with Newcastle Westgate as defender Tegan Billinghurst starred, and Anna May Slowie and Lottie Murphy came close.

Meanwhile, one goal was enough for Ponteland United U14 as they scraped past Newcastle Benfield.

Hexham U13 shared six goals with Wideopen Hurricanes as Josie Cawood struck twice and a Jelly Dixon cross was deflected in for an own goal. For the second week running, goalkeeper Iona Burville was girl of the game.

Wylam Rockettes U13 enjoyed a 5-2 triumph at North Shields as Katy Cheesman scored a hat-trick and Amy Martin and Stacey Billinghurst got one each. However, they were indebted to their keeper and girl of the game Leah Daniels who pulled off a number of excellent saves.

It was a frustrating day for Ponteland United Crusaders U12 in the Rooney League as the woodwork prevented them from getting on the scoresheet, opponents Newcastle Benfield taking advantage and scoring from all three of their chances.

Meanwhile Ponteland United U16 beat Tynemouth United 5-1 and Hexham U16 lost heavily to Montagu and North Fenham.

Wylam Rockettes U15 went down 3-1 to Newcastle East End despite a girl of the game display from Izzy Flynn and a stunning solo effort from Ruth Owen after several near misses from the Rockettes.
