While the hosts took an early lead, it was Watson’s treble which earned the 3-1 victory to act as a great warm-up for the Durham FA Women’s Cup semi-final with Durham Cestria.
After a slow start to the game, it was Boldon who took the lead when a corner was cleared to the edge of the area, the home player smashing an effort into the top corner on 17 minutes.
The goal stirred the fire in Tynedale bellies and their pressure paid off with an equaliser on 33 minutes, Watson converting after receiving a floated ball over the defence.
The half fizzled out at 1-1 although Christine Murray was unfortunate when her thunderous shot from 25 yards sailed just wide.
Tyne got off to the best possible start in the second half as Watson set the platform for a dominant 45 minutes.
Tynedale looked dangerous from corners from Siobhan Simpson, with Ashley Lambert just heading wide on a number of occasions.
Watson finally completed her hat-trick when released down the left by Nicole Gibson, driving into the box and firing home to make it 3-1.
While Watson stole the limelight with her treble, youngster Katharine Dixon was named player of the match for her tireless work rate and effort on the wing.
