KIAN McKinnel kept his nerve from the penalty spot to earn Haydon Bridge United U14 a share of the spoils.

Having surrendered a three goal lead in their entertaining Division Two clash with Ashington Colliers, a last minute spot kick from McKinnell saw the teams share 10 goals.

Bridge raced 3-0 through strikes from Jamie Connor, Brandon Bland and Niall Buchanan, with a further strike from Connor putting them 4-2 ahead as Colliers rallied.

Ashington looked like they were going to be leaving Low Hall Park with all three points in a smash and grab raid, until McKinnel's equaliser at the death. The hosts had goalkeeper James Hare to thank for keeping them in it at times, earning the man of the match accolade.

Corbridge United U16 were at their goal scoring best again in Division Two with two goals each from Ben Milner and man of the match Calum Armstrong helped them to a convincing victory at Heaton Hawks Falcons.

Jack Thompson, Joe Crozier, Stephen Heslop and Josh Trewitt also joined their teammates on the scoresheet.

Yussef Halkmaoui starred as Ponteland United PSG U16 defeated Ashington Community 5-1 in the Premiership Cup. The man of the match led the way, while Will Morris and Adam Uddgren also registered.

Prudhoe YC U18 bounced back in the Ray Knight League as doubles from Callum Surridge and Ollie Hayward and a single from Ben Callender saw them to a 5-2 win over North Shields Reds. Nathan Crozier starred for Prudhoe.

Calum Dronfield registered and Patrick Dryden was man of the match as a Corbridge United U18 side, missing key players due to a cricket final, went down at North Shields Athletic.

Prudhoe YC Blacks U17's excellent start to the campaign continued as they put four without reply past Killingworth YPC United in Division Two.

Kieran Lee scored twice and Ethan Martin and Ethan Mullis once each, while Finley Marsh was named star man.

A goal from Ross Brooks and a man of the match display from Joe Fletcher helped Ponteland United Panthers U17 to a 1-1 draw with Newcastle East End in the Premiership, with Mark Hodgson starring for Hexham U17 in their 3-0 defeat at home to Cramlington.

Corbridge United U13 have started the campaign with back-to-back successes, their latest seeing them defeat Velocity Bolts 5-2 in Division Four of the Russell Foster Youth League.

Adam Panchyshyn hit the back of the net on two occasions, with Morgan Blyth, Shay Lowery and Josh Bird also registering. Nathan Abrams was named man of the match.

Their season got up-and-running with a 6-2 victory over Peterlee Helford Pumas, Adam Panchyshyn again bagging a brace, as did Byron Hunneysett. Man of the match Shay Lowery and Oliver Galloway werre also on target.

Stocksfield Lions U13 made it two wins from two too with man of the match Joel Garvin Dawson leading the way with a hat-trick in the victory over Seaham. Ellis Findlay scored two and Dan Ward the other.
