THE Division One game between Heddon St Andrew's and Prudhoe Social Club will be replayed after a home player suffered a double leg break in the 90th minute.

Jonathan Wood required an ambulance after being injured in the dying moments of the league game with Prudhoe, the score 5-4 in the visitors' favour at the time.

The referee had awarded Heddon a penalty but it could not be taken as Wood required the assistance of an ambulance to remove him from the penalty area. On Monday, Northumberland FA confirmed the game will have to be replayed as neither team was deemed at fault for the abandonment.

It was a sour end to a brilliant game of football which saw Prudhoe edging it through two goals each from James Watson and Michael Gilroy, and one from Matty Fothergill.

Two goals from man of the match Jack Barker and strikes from James Charteries and Andy Wrightson earned Haltwhistle Railway a 4-2 victory at Hexham Hearts in Division Two.

For Hearts, Dean Pattinson and James Yeend found the back of the net, while Jordan Teasdale was man of the match.

Ponteland Village edged out Wylam Black Bull 4-3 as star man Ryan Spragg hit three and James Pattison the other after just 33 seconds.
