THE race for the Hexham and District Sunday League title will heat up tonight.
For the two frontrunners are both in action tonight (26/04), current leaders Hexham Phoenix welcoming Barrasford to the Sele and reigning champions Haltwhistle Jubilee looking to get over the weekend’s county cup disappointment with a home game, to be played at Bardon Mill, with Prudhoe Town.
Heddon St Andrew’s have two league games remaining, starting with a home game with Haydon Bridge Anchor tonight, and two wins will see them go through the Division Two campaign with a 100 per cent record.
Ryton Social Club look to get their promotion charge back on track with a trip to Adam and Eve Prudhoe, while Hexhamshire entertain Haltwistle Railway.
In the Premier Division of the North East Women’s League, Tynedale Ladies play host to local rivals Whitley Bay Women.
