HALTWHISTLE Jubilee’s hopes of regaining the Quad Army title is on course after they booked their place in a third cup final.

Hexham Phoenix await them in the final of the Division One KO Cup after they brushed aside West Tynedale rivals Bardon Mill Bowes Lyons 5-1 in the semi-finals.

Man of the match Dan Kirkup struck twice and Scott Jacobsen, Norman Calvert and James Charteries once each, while Mill’s star man Rob Hayes hit their consolation.

Haydon Bridge Anchor still harbour high hopes of taking the Division Two title despite being held to a 3-3 draw at Adam and Eve Prudhoe .

A Kieran Robley hat-trick and a man of the match display from Kev MacDonald keeps them three points off top spot with two games in hand, but Prudhoe didn’t allow their high flying guests to have it all their way as Connor Bell hit two goals and man of the match Freddie Allan the other.

In the only game in the Mick Simmons Trophy, Prudhoe Town East End moved into second spot in Division B as they put seven goals without reply past Hexhamshire .

Lee Riley was man of the match for ‘Shire who have struggled for players since Christmas, and are on the look out to add to their squad ahead of next season.

l Over in the Wearside League, Prudhoe Town’s unbeaten run came to an end as they lost out to Ashbrooke Belford House.

Having gone seven games without defeat, they were beaten 2-1 as a poor second half showing was punished by their hosts.

Prudhoe were on song in the opening half but were unable to take the many chances they created. Derek Waters did, however, continue his good goal scoring form.

But goals from Josh Farquhar and substitute Adam Campbell earned Ashbrooke all three points in the Wearside League, despite Jamie Peel impressing for Prudhoe.
