A SECOND successive defeat to the team occupying bottom spot in the Premier Division compounded a miserable seven days for Wallington.

The visitors missed the chance to move up one place to ninth as they were beaten 2-0 by Northbank Carlisle, the hosts still bottom after dropping below Gateshead Rutherford after their 3-0 victory over Wallington the previous Saturday.

It was another disappointing showing for the Greens in what was the only Premier Division game to beat the weather, keeping them in 10th place ahead of their visit to 12th placed Ashington Colliers.
