PONTELAND United Pride U12 continued their winning run by beating Beckham Division leaders Blyth Town Pumas.

Olivia Brown and Bethany Hickman netted to see them to a slender 2-1 victory, while goalkeeper Bethany Bell was player of the match after some excellent reaction saves.

Divisional rivals Ponteland United Revolution U12 enjoyed a 3-0 victory over West Moor Bulldogs, girl of the game Sophie Rainey scoring and Abi Ely the other.

Ponteland United Crusaders U12 were in goal scoring mood with Anna Mason leading the way with four goals in their victory over Heaton Hawks in the Rooney Division.

Ellie Winter, Lillie Carmichael, Melody Brooks and player of the match Deryn Hutchinson also netted. Wylam Rockettes U12 didn’t fare as well as they lost heavily to Bedlington Town Hawks.

Wylam Rockettes U13’s excellent run came to an end as they let slip a 2-1 lead, earned courtesy of two goals from girl of the game Stacey Billinghurst, to lose 3-2 to Morpeth Town.

Morpeth Town did the double as they defeated Wylam Rockettes U15 2-0 in a close game, girl of the game Ruth Owen going close for Wylam, as did Abbey Brown and Chloe Richardson.

Jennifer Turnbull impressed for Hexham U14 in their defeat at Whitley Bay BC.
