A LAST minute winner sent Stocksfield U15 into the final of the Durham County League Cup.

Logan Fawcett produced the dramatic decider to add to his earlier strike, a depleted Stocksfield side seeing off the tough challenge from Hebburn to take the semi-finals tie 2-1.

It was a huge confidence boost after they lost a little ground in the title race as they drew 3-3 with bottom of the table South Tyneside, letting slip a three goal lead earned through two goals from Dan McGrane and one from Luke Doneathy.

Stocksfield U13 are gearing towards the NEYDL Championship title as they went three points clear at the top. A hat-trick from Jack Lambert and goals from Daniel Lazenby and Shay Carey saw them put five without reply past Cullercoats, the team keeping their ninth clean sheet from 14 matches. Matthew Parkes was their man of the match.

They went three ahead of Tyne Valley rivals Corbridge United U13 who remain in contention despite losing 5-1 to Ryton and Crawcrook Albion.

Premier League leaders Hexham Greens U13 maintained their great form as goals from Kian McKinnell, Dan Simpson, Charlie Daley and Alex Waters saw them record a 4-1 victory at Morpeth Town. Meanwhile, Jake Reed starred for Allendale U13 as they lost 3-0 to Monkseaton.

Prudhoe YC Rockets U12 ran away with it in the Gateshead Youth League when they came up against Hebburn Involve Infernos.

Elliott Lowes scored three and David Histon and Joe Dalby two each, with Morgan Lynch also netting. Sam Marshall was named man of the match.

A double from Zak Campbell saw Prudhoe YC Tigers U12 edge out Beamish Colts 2-1, with Andrew Bell named star man.

Stephen Wilson scored and Louis Wild was man of the match as Prudhoe YC Rockets U15 brought their Angels campaign to an end with a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Blaydon Community.

Prudhoe YC Galaxy U13 were denied a place in the League Cup final as they lost 4-2 to Burnopfield, despite strikes from Owen Dent and Jack Swinburn, and a man of the match display from Bradley Powton.
