A TYNEDALE teenager continues to make great waves in his goal of becoming a professional footballer.

Striker Cedwyn Scott, of Stocksfield, is in great goal scoring form this year for Huddersfield Town’s academy side, scoring four goals in his past two games.

While netting at the weekend at Barnsley, he was star man as he sent home a hat-trick in the Terriers’ convincing 6-0 victory over Hull City in the U18 Professional Development League. It is his second treble of the campaign, achieving the feat against Colchester United in August after netting in the opening day 2-2 draw with Bristol City.

Former Prudhoe High School Pupil Cedwyn is highly regarded at Town, a regular starter with the U18 in his second year as a scholar. He has 12 goals in total for Huddersfield this term, also scoring against Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town and Bolton Wanderers.
