It was a tough start for Hexham U17 as they lost to Red House Farm Kites by the same scoreline in the Premiership.

Haydon Bridge United U15 are up-and-running courtesy of a hard-fought 2-1 win at home to Whitley Bay SC Blacks.

Ponteland United Pumas U15 defeated Morpeth Town Hornets in Division Three, but both Prudhoe YC Blues U15 and Ponteland United Panthers U15 endured tough away days in the Premiership as they lost to Newcastle City and Newcastle East End Blues respectively.

Ponteland United Munich U13 led Cramlington United Thundercats twice in Division One, but ended up on the losing end of a 3-2 scoreline.

Jay Jay Spratt and Tom Bell put them in a commanding position, while Matty Dyson was star man.

Man of the match Kian McKinnel, Jordan Reynolds and Shay Dickinson all registered in Haydon Bridge United U14's 6-3 loss to Newcastle East End Blues in Division Two, while Ponteland United U14 lost 3-1 at home to Walker Central Blues in Division One.

Prudhoe YC U18 were unfortunate to have nothing to show for their great efforts in the Ray Knight League, shaded out by the odd goal in nine at Morpeth Town Lions.

Over in the Gateshead Youth League, two goals from Nathan Kennington and one each from Oscar Jolly and Zak Campbell guided Prudhoe YC Tigers U13 to a 4-1 victory over Ryton. Harvey Glen starred for the victors.

Doubles from Joseph Nicholson and Guy Stewart helped Ponteland United Blacks U13 edge a thrilling game with Rutherford.

They fought back from a goal down to win 6-4 as Jamie Grant and Ryan Statham also found the back of the net, with Zach Ikwue named man of the match.

There was a winning start for Stocksfield U15 too as they defeated Whickham Fellside Yellows 5-3.
