TYNEDALE goalkeeper Ben Alnwick has given Bolton Wanderers manager Phil Parkinson some food for though.
For three consecutive clean sheets earned the 29-year-old former Prudhoe Youth Club junior the PFA Fans' League One Player of the Month award for November.
Having played second fiddle to Wanderers' number one Mark Howard for most of the season, Alnwick's fight for the regular spot between the sticks has been boosted by the accolade, which is voted for by fans of League One clubs.
The elder brother of Port Vale shot stopper Jak replaced the injured Howard after 10 minutes of the narrow 1-0 defeat to his former club Peterborough United, and impressed in helping the Whites to second spot in the table after shut-outs against Millwall, Coventry City and Northampton Town.
