Hexham Barca were victorious as teams from the district joined with those from the Glendale Youth League, in Wooler, for a brand new contest to provide new opposition to the teams.
Glendale was chosen as a rural district very similar to Tynedale, with a total of 24 teams at U7 and U8 competing.
And it was Hexham Barca who lifted the Tweed Trophy after defeating Felton Fox Cubs 4-1 in the final.
In the semi-finals of the Coquet Trophy, Stocksfield lost on penalties to Rothbury and Hexham Dynamo were beaten by eventual winners Longhoughton Rangers.
The U9 and U10 competition will be played on May 7 at Tynedale Rugby Club, Corbridge.
Meanwhile, Hexham Porto U9 won the Champions League as part of the Ivor Gray Festival at Stocksfield, beating Prudhoe YC Thunder 1-0 in a tight final.
The Premier League trophy was won by Stocksfield Hornets as they defeated Corbridge Lions in the final.
