ANNA Mason produced the only goal of the game to earn Ponteland United Crusaders U12 all three points.

The goal separated United and Blyth Town Wildcats as they met in the Rooney Division, Ponteland thankful too for a girl of the game display from goalkeeper Derryn Hutchinson.

One goal was all it took for Wylam Rockettes U12 to extend their winning run to four games courtesy, as Ellie Knowles struck to see off the challenge of West Moor Bulldogs. In the Beckham Division, it ended honours even in the town derby as Ponteland United Revolution U12 and Ponteland United Pride U12 drew 1-1.

Josie Cawood slammed home a hat-trick to help Hexham U13 to a 4-2 victory at Cramlington United. Haylie Philips scored her first goal for the club too, while midfielder Hannah Johnson was named player of the match.

Wylam Rockettes U13 ran out comfortable winners at home to Heaton Hawks with girl of the game Josie Fenwick scoring three, Katy Cheesman two and Lauren Talbot and Stacey Billinghurst one apiece.

Wylam Rockettes U15 came from behind to draw 2-2 with Heaton Hawks, girl of the game Ruth Owen and Emma Rankin with their goals.

Lottie Murphy’s two goals were in vain for Wylam Rockettes U14 as they lost 5-2 to Whitley Bay BC, with defender Charlotte Skyes starring for Wylam.

Hannah Turnbull was star player in Hexham U14’s 2-0 loss at Lowick United, while Ponteland United U14 were comfortable winners over Alnwick Town.

Wylam Rockettes U16 captain Shannon Chambers was named girl of the game as they lost to Bedlington Town Bulldogs, while Hexham U16 goalkeeper Neamh Wyse wasn’t able to keep out St Cuthbert’s Amazons’ formidable strike force. Ponteland United U16 also lost heavily at home to Montagu and North Fenham.
