IN AN entertaining Tyne Valley derby, Allendale Fireballs U14 came out on top of the Championship clash with Hexham Whites U14 .

The game ended 4-2 in Allendale's favour as they fought back from falling behind to pick up all three points.

It was Hexham who took the lead through Will Linton, but hosts Fireballs levelled through an excellent strike from Sebastian Alderson.

Allendale's pressure then saw them go 3-1 up when Archie White's shot cannoned off a Hexham defender, before Archie found the back of the net soon after with a powerful finish.

A Conrad Thompson volley made it 4-1, with Tom Bell pulling a goal back for Hexham.

For Allendale, defender Matthew Pringle was named man of the mach after forming a strong centre half pairing with Ronan Humphrey.

A hat-trick from man of the match Finlay Marsden and a strike from Aaron Brown was not enough for Corbridge United U14 as they were edged out 5-4 in a thriller with New Fordley.

Hexham Hornets U13 , inspired by George Brady's four goals, powered their way to three points in the Championship as they returned from North Shields Blacks triumphant.

Dan Conley hit a hat-trick in the game, with Alfie also registering for the visitors.
