GIRL footballers from Hexham FC are celebrating a successful season in different age groups.

The club’s U14 girls’ team have won the championship in the Pinpoint Recruitment Junior League.

“This was the first time the U12s had played together as a team, and the second year for the U14s. All of the girls in all three teams have done fantastically well.”

The U14s were also awarded the Pinpoint Junior League Respect team of the year 2017/18, which recognised their discipline and conduct in matches.

Cheryl added: “We are really proud of how the girls conduct themselves on and off the pitch and it is great they have been recognised for their conduct.”
