HAVE you ever wondered what it feels like to be a football referee?
Now people over the age of 18 in Tynedale are being urged to give it a try.
Northumberland Football Association's referee development officer, Lindsey Robinson, is on the look out for would-be officials.
Lindsey will host introductory courses for new referees over the coming weeks.
They will provide participants with an insight into the laws of the game, and the practical application of them in a match environment.
It will also look at the skills required to become a referee. Lindsey discussed the courses at a meeting of Hexham Referees Association on June 5.
The courses will take place at Benfield High School in Newcastle, on June 11, June 30, and July 1.
