Promoted Wark tackle Terriers

ONE of the biggest names in North-East football circles is heading for the North Tyne tonight.

Leading Northern League side Bedlington Terriers are coming to Wark as part of the newly promoted North Tyne side’s preparations for the next season in the Northern Alliance Premier Division.

Wark enjoyed a fantastic season, which saw them win the Northern Alliance First Division championship, despite being docked six points for fielding an ineligible player.

And although a congested fixture list saw them falter slightly ion the title run in, they also reached the finals of both the Benevolent Bowl and League Cup.

there could be no bigger and better preparation to the new campaign than a game against the famous Terriers.

It is a game that should be one to remember for the team, Wark Sports Club and Wark’s great local support.

And it is only the first of two pre-season games at Wark Sports Club, which also sees Morpeth Town visit on Tuesday night.

The Bedlington game, sponsored by John Deere Forestry, is to be played at Wark Sports club with the game kicking off at 7pm.

Wark are desperate for sponsorship which will allow the club to compete at this higher level in the new campaign
