Tynedale‘s Michael Watts (pictured), Corbridge duo Marcus Sewell and Tom Scott and Stocksfield pairing of Luke Doneathy and Chris Scandle, represented the county as they won two of their four games.
They defeated Essex and Cleveland, but lost narrowly to both Yorkshire and Cumbria. The stand out performances from the festival came from West Northumberland players, with Watts putting in a man of the match display with 94 runs against Essex and Doneathy finishing leading wicket taker with nine.
Meanwhile, the county girls‘ side consisting many of the talented female cricketers from the Tyne Valley made the semi-finals of the Scarborough 6-a-side Festival.
