A well below par performance saw them all out for just 100 runs, the batting order throwing away their wickets cheaply to make it easy work for the hosts.
Electing to bat after winning the toss, they were cruising at 50-0 after 11 overs as Steven Henderson (11) and Ben Archer (37) started brightly. But they capitulated soon after and lost all 10 wickets for the same amount of runs, a lack of patience costing them heavily as they came a cropper.
Conversely, Alnwick were afforded the opportunity to wait for the bad ball, and they executed their plan expertly for the nine wicket triumph, Emerson Brown (1-20) claiming the only wicket.
Stocksfield III defeated Alnwick II by 22 runs in a low scoring game, young Aaron Rourke (3-9) impressing with the ball as he helped dismiss the away side for 72.
Ten-man Stocksfield opened and knocks from Perry Hall (46) and Chris Catnach (20) took them to 94, while Hall (3-22) joined Rourke with three wickets in reply.
