ALLENDALE Cricket Club is looking to develop sporting stars of the future this summer.

It is hosting coaching sessions throughout the coming season for youngsters aged from five to 15.

The programme, run by qualified coaches, has been specially designed to teach skills equipping children to play in local leagues and beyond.

Coaching for nine to 15-year-olds will run over 15 sessions, starting on Thursday May 3, between 6pm and 7pm. The cost is £40.

The All Stars Cricket programme will feature at 32 sites across Northumberland.

As well as Allendale, other clubs taking part include Corbridge and Tynedale.

In the build-up to All Stars Cricket, The Northumberland Cricket Board has been putting on taster sessions, known as roadshows, in the past few weeks.

Coaches have visited schools and lead fun sessions for children. These sessions help develop cricket skills, movement skills and also promote teamwork in a fun and exciting manner.
