Weather washes out cricket yet again

THE summer of 2008 will go down as the worst in living memory in local cricket circles.
For the entire programme across Tynedale was wiped out yet again by still more rain.
Tynedale have played only a handful of overs over the past seven weeks.
“Our players have forgotten what their team-mates look like,” said club spokesman Gary Cant.
More rain throughout this week has already cast doubts on tomorrow’s fixture at home to the strong Shotley Bridge side.
The table-topping Tyne-dale second XI make a return trip to Shotley.
