Tynedale washed out again
Last updated 16:15, Thursday, 24 July 2008
ONLY two overs were possible before the rains came down yet again to wash out Tynedale’s match with Lintz on Saturday.
It means that four of their last five games have fallen victim to the weather, giving them no chance of climbing away from the lower end of the table.
They are scheduled to travel to Benwell and Walbottle tomorrow in the Wellstream Northumberland and Tyneside League, but do so with a considerably weakened side.
Opener Neil Clark, wicket keeper Jamie Crichton and slow bowler Mark Armstrong are all unavailable.
Filling the breach are Paul Scandle, Mark Dixon and Chris Welton.
Sunday sees the rescheduled Wilkinson Cup clash at Priors Flat in Hexham between the West Tyne League and the Wellstream Northumberland and Tyneside League.
