In a close-fought game with Northern Alliance Division One leaders Shilbottle CW, Ponteland United showed they had that little bit extra to make the final of the Northumberland FA Minor Cup.
One goal from Zack Bewley proved the difference although United looked the more likely to nick it, booking a final date with Alnmouth.
