Matthew Armstrong from Ponteland High School is the only North East representative chosen for the England U16 basketball squad.
PONTELAND High School pupil Matthew Armstrong has shown his great potential in basketball by being chosen for a North-East representative team for the past four years.
However, the promising 15-year-old is now knocking on the door of the national squad having been selected for England U16’s initial squad of 30 for next summer‘s European Championships.
