STOCKSFIELD golfer Chris Paisley continued his fine form with a top five finish at the Abu Dhabi Championship on Sunday.

The 31-year-old was tied for fifth position in the United Arab Emirates, on 17 under-par, five strokes behind the champion and fellow Briton, Tommy Fleetwood.

Four sub-70 rounds of 69, 67, 66 and 69, earned Paisley €94,876 in prize money.

The impressive display came hot on the heels of Paisley's first ever European Tour victory, at the South African Open, on January 14.

The former Stocksfield junior golfer is currently fourth on the European Tour's order of merit, known as the Race To Dubai , with 303,625 points after four tournaments.
