Wilton Holmes and Paul Nesbitt are creating a Sunday League Select XI side to take on champions Haltwhistle Jubilee as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Hexham and District Sunday League.
FORMER rivals are pooling resources to try to knock the all-conquering Haltwhistle Jubilee off their perch.
Wilton Holmes, who used to run Prudhoe Social Club, and Paul Nesbitt, formerly of Prudhoe Halfway House, are pulling together to create a Hexham and District Sunday League select XI to challenge the double quadruple champions from Haltwhistle.
The match-up has been arranged by the members of the league management committee to bring the league‘s 50th anniversary celebrations to an end.
On Sunday, August 30, the game will follow a Division Two representative squad, managed by Phil Leadbitter and Craig McDonald, match against Hexham Hearts as the league‘s longest established team.
