Corbridge Cricket Club is celebrating after its First XI team ended on top of the Northumberland and Tyneside Cricket League's Division 3.
Staying atop the league from the first game, the cricket club clinched the title at the season finale, showcasing remarkable consistency.
The team had lost just two of their total of twenty-two fixtures.
Alongside the league victory, Corbridge also received the William Birkett Memorial Cup, defeating Bedlington in a thrilling final at Blaydon.
Spearheaded by the career defining performance of skipper Chris Fowler, the Club exhibited its best season in recent years.
The Club Secretary, Michael Robinson said: βIt is great to finally get promoted, and to win a cup final into the bargain.
"Skipper Chris Fowler did a great job and the team performed really well and was the most consistent one we have had for a while.
"There were so many top performances during the season, both from the batsmen and the bowlers.
"It will be interesting to see who gets the players player of the year. We are definitely looking forward to the new challenges that Division 2 will bring in 2024.β
