ARCHER Daniel Tibbles has conquered the country's best to become the British Target Archery Champion.
Daniel Tibbles' success in the barebow category comes less than a month after he won the Northumberland and Durham county championship, and just two years after he took up the sport.
His rise to the top was confirmed at Lilleshall in Shropshire on Sunday, when the Bardon Mill man finished with a winning score, after two days of gruelling competition.
He beat off strong competition from nearest challenger Ian Casewell, of Cumbria, to win the title.
Last month, the father-of-two, who works for Northumberland County Council, won the barebow category at the Durham and Northumberland Archery Association's county championship, at Norton in County Durham.
