WORKMEN made the most of this week's sunshine to begin rebuilding Hexham's Bandstand.
The bandstand, which dates back to 1912, had been dismantled and shipped off to a specialist renovation firm Lost Art, in Wigan.
A number of replacement pieces were cast and the structure has now returned to the town.
On Wednesday workmen were hard at work erecting the frame of the renovated bandstand.
Hexham Bandstand will be fully rebuilt in time for an unveiling and re-dedication ceremony on Saturday, May 14.
