A RUNNER from the Allen Valley clinched victory at this year's Kielder Marathon.
Allendale resident Cees Van der Land, a runner with Tyne Bridge Harriers, was the first across the line in a time of two hours, 48 minutes and 51 seconds.
The marathon was just part of a weekend packed of running events in the area, with a half marathon, 10K and junior races attracting hundreds of sporty folk to the village.
