The official switch-on of Christmas lights in Hexham and Prudhoe on Friday night saw both towns illuminated in festive sparkle.
Father Christmas himself flipped the switch to light up the giant Christmas tree outside of Hexham Abbey.
And in Prudhoe, characters from children's television show Paw Patrol showed up for the big switch-on.
