AS temperatures soared this week to the highest of the year, children from Chollerton First School enjoyed a fun day with lots of water – courtesy of a visit from the Hexham Fire Station team.
A fire engine rolled up at the school on Tuesday to mark the last day of term.
Headteacher, Mrs Hazel Davey, said: “The children enjoyed exploring the fire engine and trying out the fire hose on the hottest day of the year.”
The Red Watch team from the fire station also told the schoolchildren how to keep safe over the summer holidays.
