THE wait was finally over for students across the district as they collected their A level results on Thursday.
65 per cent of all entries at Hexham's Queen Elizabeth High School were A* to B grades.
And in Prudhoe students arrived at their brand new school building to receive their results.
Average points scores per entry were increased this year at the school.
The overall pass rate at Haydon Bridge High School was 97 per cent.
And students at Ponteland High School students achieved an impressive 99 per cent pass rate.
