BOB Bell's correspondence ( Courant Letters , May 13) reminded me of the old saying: "Follow me, I'm right behind you."

There are still a high percentage of English people capable of analysing what is happening in the world around them and coming to a logical and fair conclusion arrived at with good reasoning.

Perhaps, the people he sates as resentful of controls, social safeguards and stirring fear and jingoism, are in fact cautious before they make a decision.

Could it be that these same people are thinking we have been in the EU for some 43 years and not once have auditors signed off the accounts because of fraud and corruption? At the same time our Government is making us well aware of fraud and corruption and how the legal system will deal with such offenders.

In reality, we are part of, and aiding and abetting, an organisation to operate outside the law.
