WHATEVER comments are made regarding historical events, it should be remembered that they are history.

Since the Brexit vote, there seems to have been nothing but recriminations. The vote actually was our second chance, or perhaps even our third, considering the way we were all deceived in the two previous referendums.

We have all once again been let down by our leaders. No one had the slightest idea of what they were going to do after the vote, whichever way it went. They must all bear the responsibility for the present almost complete lack of action.

They are all now looking inward, fighting each other, not giving a damn about actually running the country and apparently having no intention at all about doing something positive.

Extremists have now taken centre stage, even though they are, as always, a tiny minority.
