WE are in favour of the grass-cutting levy being proposed by Isos ( Courant , February 8).

Bearing in mind that the rate of inflation is zero, Isos still has to pay out of its funds the contractor who carries out this work.

People tend to forget that Isos is a ‘not for profit’ landlord, but if this organisation does not make a surplus it may cease to exist and not be in a position to make any more capital investments (housing) for future and present tenants.

We hope tenants will appreciate that rents are fair and reasonable. This is a flagship association, and people cannot always have a free ride in life.
