WHY can people like Hextol (Courant, August 1) not tell tradespeople the truth?
When we had a shop we had a notice up saying: “If you like what we do, tell others; if you don’t, tell us.”
How can traders, proprietors and managers put things right if customers don’t tell them the truth?
Speak to the manager face to face and tell them of your complaints, dissatisfaction or disapproval. That way things might be corrected.
After all, no traders like bad publicity, and word of mouth is the best form of advertising.
