WE have had very inadequate information as yet about the economic considerations involved in the proposals to reduce our network of rural post offices..
I do hope that Tynedale Council will support every one of the threatened communities and take up our cause with both Post Office Ltd and the Government.
The proposals bear no relation to any other initiative in this area and make no sense whatsoever as they stand.
They might be relevant to Midsomer Somewhere or Surrey, but our rural areas are in a completely different world and the proposals are unrealistic.
Do not accept the devious arguments about saving one means killing off another.
