TYNEDALE Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers will meet in the community centre tomorrow, from 10am until 4pm. New members are always welcome – just pop in any time.

THE Stocksfield health walk on Monday will be along Prudhoe riverside.

To join in, go to Stocksfield Station at 10am, wearing appropriate outdoor clothing and supportive footwear. The walk will take about one hour and the group will share cars to the destination.

IF you’re looking for that perfect Christmas present, you might find it at George Skelton’s art exhibition.

A selection of both original paintings and limited edition prints by the local artist will be displayed in the Dr Syntax at New Ridley today from 6pm until 9pm; tomorrow from noon until 9pm; and on Sunday from noon until 9pm.

All sales will be donated to the Great North Air Ambulance. Admission is free.

THERE’S only a week to go until the Stocksfield Players’ presentation of George Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion which will be performed in the community centre from Thursday, November 26, until Saturday, November 28, at 7.30pm.

A REMINDER that Churches Together in Stocksfield and Mickley will hold their annual community carol service, The Big Sing, on Sunday, December 6, at 2.30pm, in the Stocksfield Community Centre.

This is a chance for all villagers to join in communal carol singing, supported by Prudhoe Community Choir.

Hot drinks and mince pies will be served afterwards, and this is always a really enjoyable social event.

Admission is free; any voluntary donations are given to the work of Christian Aid. All welcome.

DON’T forget that if you ever fancy a quiet cuppa or a friendly chat, Stocksfield Methodist Church is open for coffee every Monday from 10am until noon. All are welcome.
