THE monthly charity coffee morning at the Methodist Church is tomorrow from 10am to midday.

This month’s event is in aid of Home Missions. Everyone is welcome.

THERE’S a drop-in coffee every Monday morning at 10.30am in the church, and anyone is welcome to pop in for a cuppa and a quiet chat.

BROOMLEY and Stocksfield Parish Council meets in the community centre on Monday, at 7.30pm.

All residents are welcome to attend, and time is always set aside at the beginning of each meeting for residents to raise any issues of concern.

DON’T forget the vintage tea party at the Methodist Church on Friday, June 10, from 2pm to 5pm.

Everyone is welcome to come along for afternoon tea, stalls, freshly baked cakes, a dance taster workshop and vintage dress-up.

If you’d like to come along in vintage-style clothes, that would be great fun, but it’s not essential, so do come along for a lovely afternoon to help raise funds for Lifespan.

ON Sunday, June 19, a home-made tea will be served in the beautiful garden of Aston Greys, 25 Cade Hill Road. Gates are open 3pm to 6pm, with the last tea served at 5.15pm.

Visitors are welcome to stroll around the garden. Tickets are available in advance. All proceeds from the event will be donated to Mind.

THE annual Bywell Arts Festival at the Bywell churches is from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26.

Over 100 paintings will be exhibited along with craftworks and signed prints.

There are also wonderful refreshments and a selection of stalls.

The exhibition opens at 7pm on the Friday evening with a Pimms bar. Entrance is free, and all are welcome.

A highlight of the festival will be a concert by Hexham-based band The Cherry Pickers in St Peter’s Church on Saturday, June 25, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are available from Michael Allan on (01661) 843183.
