Many thanks to all who came to the door when Santa’s sleigh did the rounds before Christmas collecting on behalf of Tynedale Lions.

Assisted by the Stocksfield Scouts, a fantastic £650 was raised, which is an increase on last year.

The Lions would like to thank Stocksfield folk for their generosity in helping them continue their good work in the community.

Thanks are also due to all those who supported the Churches Together coffee morning on January 17, at the Methodist Church in Stocksfield, in aid of Syrian refugees.

It was a most enjoyable morning of companionship and raised a magnificent £330 due to the generosity of this community.
