TONIGHT, in the community centre, the talented young French folk singer/songwriter Farah Rigal will be performing, fresh from the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and supported by our own brilliant Stocksfield Stompers.

THE Stocksfield Festival is now only three weeks away, so I hope Stocksfield gardeners are ripening up their produce and children are busy making those scarecrows!

Don’t forget there will be musical performances in the entertainment marquee from noon, so do come along and support our local musicians.

ON the evening before the festival, Friday, September 11, Stocksfield Cricket Club is hosting an evening of music in the festival marquee under the banner ‘Rocking in the Festival’.

Headlining is Graham Hunter, a superb rock guitarist who has played with Thin Lizzy and Gary Moore. Covering classics from Clapton, Knopfler, The Who, AC/DC, Thin Lizzy, Pink Floyd and many more, he’s not to be missed.

Two local bands, Open Door and The Hamstrings, are the support acts. There’s a late licence, burger bar, and a wide range of drinks so there’sa great night in store.

Doors open at 7pm, first band at 7.45pm. Tickets are on sale now from the clubhouse bar.
