Mowden Hall, at Newton, is participating in the Project Paddington campaign, launched by a group of Sheffield mothers with the aim of sending bears with messages and pictures from local children, to youngsters stuck in refugee camps.
Thousands have shown their support for the idea online and via social media and pupils at Mowden Hall were keen to do their bit.
Mowden’s headmaster Neal Bailey, said: “It has been a rewarding and humbling experience for our children to participate in the Project Paddington initiative.
“Mowden pupils have been very keen to broaden their awareness of the refugee crisis - something that has been demonstrated by their willingness to donate teddies and encouraging messages to the cause.”
