A BUSINESSWOMAN from Stocksfield has been named in a list of Europe’s top 30 young retail entrepreneurs compiled by Forbes magazine.

Jules Quinn (27) set her sights on creating The Teashed – a high end, design-led tea company – as a student at Northumbria University.

After just four and a half years, Jules has established an HQ in Newcastle and now employs 16 staff to help supply well-known chains like Fenwicks and Selfridges.

Her achievements caught the attention of researchers from the American business magazine, who were tasked with compiling a “top 30 under 30” list of successful young company founders in the retail and e-commerce industry across Europe.

Jules appears in the list alongside business people from Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Denmark after judges, including businessman Sir Ronald Cohen, performer Kelly Osborne and double Olympic champion, Dame Kelly Holmes, drew up the front-runners from thousands of nominees.

“It’s amazing to be featured in a listing, which has 10 different categories, and has people like Adele and Ed Sheeran in the entertainment top 30,” said Jules, who has recently returned from a trade fair in San Francisco.
