A CHANGE of location is in store for Stocksfield’s post office services next week.
The new post office facilities at the Spar, at Branch End Service Station, will open on Friday, March 16.
The new store location follows the closure of the Branch End post office at Boots the chemists.
A spokesman for the Post Office said that the Branch End store will close at 1pm on March 16, at the same time as the new services in the Spar will open.
There will be a new post office serving point in the store alongside the retail till.
Services will be available seven days a week during the store’s opening hours from 6am to 9pm from Monday to Sunday.
This means the post office’s opening hours will increase to 105 hours a week.
Local residents and small business customers will be able to access post office services including: special deliveries, local collect, home shopping returns, cash deposits and withdrawals, sending funds abroad, paying bills, foreign currency, travel insurance and mobile phone top-ups.
Post Office regional manager Suzanne Richardson said: “We are confident that this vibrant new-style post office at the heart of the local community will meet customer needs.”
